His early experience in the real estate market was with Brockett Real Estate, Eugene, Oregon, where he was a member of the Eugene Board of Realtors Million Dollar Club in 1988. He began full time real estate appraising with Appraisal Associates and later with the firm of Duncan, Morgan & Brown, both based in Eugene.
